Level 3 Advanced Safeguarding Certificate
Essential training for all senior staff, Safeguarding team, wellbeing team and Counsellors 

Encompass Safeguarding presents a comprehensive Level 3 Advanced Safeguarding course, meticulously designed for senior staff in international schools. This course goes beyond basic safeguarding principles, offering practical, in-depth training that addresses the unique challenges faced in diverse global educational settings.​

This Training Enables You To:

Conduct an in-depth analysis of the four primary categories of child abuse, with particular emphasis on their manifestations in international contexts, to enhance recognition and response capabilities. Explore the intricacies of safeguarding across diverse cultural landscapes, examining how cultural norms, beliefs, and practices impact child protection efforts in international school settings.  Evaluate neglect cases, particularly affluent neglect, to understand cultural variations and societal norms, and explore effective responses and interventions within school settings. Analyze and interpret physical abuse indicators, focusing on bruising characteristics such as age, coloration, patterns, and contextual factors to differentiate between accidental injury and potential abuse. Assess risks associated with child protection concerns, considering cultural contexts and thresholds, to develop comprehensive risk management strategies for safeguarding teams and school leaders. Introduce Child Focused SAFE Interviewing © techniques to facilitate effective communication and engagement with children during safeguarding investigations, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Navigate challenging conversations with parents and other stakeholders sensitively and effectively, employing strategies to address concerns and promote collaborative problem-solving. Learn to balance universal child protection principles with local cultural sensitivities to ensure effective and respectful interventions. Develop structured plans for conducting child protection inquiries, incorporating best practices in policy adherence, information recording, and reporting procedures. Engage in interactive case study analyses of real-world safeguarding scenarios from international schools, applying advanced problem-solving techniques to complex cross-cultural situations.

The Learning Outcomes for this Course are:

Join Consultant Sian Jorgensen, at one of her highly recommended immersive training events designed to equip safeguarding professionals with the practical skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage child protection concerns within international school settings. 

 

Participants work in teams, each receiving a culturally relevant child protection report relevant to their role. Through interactive exercises and guided discussions, they'll navigate the complexities of safeguarding, from initial assessment to appropriate action steps, all while receiving expert support and guidance.
